Hauppauge Pvr-250 ¿Syster posible?
 
HOLA.
Quisiera,si es posible,que me respondierais a una duda.
Compré esta tarjeta de TV para ver tv así como capturadora de video,que por cierto da una calidad excelente.
La pregunta es si sabeis si puede recibirse el Syster con el Moretv u otro programa,pues no lleva el típico chip 848,878...Gracias

TV Cards & Webcam
XdTV was designed to use TV cards with BT848/ 848a / 878 and 879 chipsets (BTTV driver). It can also work with a CN878 / 879 as these chipsets are almost the same as Brooktree (Brooktree is now a part of the Conexant Systems, Inc.).

Be careful: support for CN881 chipsets is still experimental. It works with some features disabled like stereo sound. Some color problems can appear. The support for MT2050 tuner is not yet complete and minor color problems can also appear.

These 3 TV card (pictures on your left) are supported by XdTV. (Be careful, the Maxi TV3 card is known as an Askey TVIEW CPH063 card. This card has the number 38. I suggest you to have a look at Calimero configuration to configure it).

XdTV works also with several webcams (like philips ones).

To configure the BT8x8 driver you have to modify your /etc/modules.conf file (kernel series 2.4) or your /etc/modprobe.conf file(kernel series 2.6).

With your Mandrake 10.x distribution, you must add the BTTV module inside the modprobe.preload file, if you want to have your TV activated after every Linux restart.
Here is a /etc/modprobe.conf example file:

options bttv radio=0 card=1 pll=0 tuner=3 gbuffers=4

With a Debian (kernel 2.4.x),you will have to create a tv file into the /etc/modutils folder or you have to modify the /etc/modules.conf file. Here is an example:

alias char-major-81 bttv

options bttv card=10 pll=1 radio=0
options tuner debug=1 type=5

With a Debian (kernel 2.6.x), in the past, modules were loaded through the /etc/modprobe.conf file. The /etc/modprobe.conf file was remplaced by this one: /etc/modprobe.d/old_etc_modprobe.conf
Now you can configure the bttv driver through this file: /etc/modprobe.d/bttv.
Here is an example:

Gentoo users can find a file named video in their /etc/modules.d/ directory. They will have to edit it. Next, you will have to launch update-modules command with root right to update your modules.conf or modprobe.conf file and then you will have to reload modules.

Last BTTV drivers propose to automatically detect which TV card and Tuner you use. This detection seems to work great with plenty of cards (based on BT878/879a or CN787/879). With older TV cards (based on Bt848/849) you must add manually all needed options in the configuration files shown above.

A partir de xawdecode 1.4, le filtre de kizkool/snabrab utilise une

dice que los filtros de lineas azules son eficaces tanto en el bt848 como en el bt878, en los documentos del plugin no he encontrado nada más referente a los chips utilizables...

The Bt878A acts as a PCI bridge for the Kfir chip. All communication to the Kfir is done through the GPIO pins of the bttv. A programmable Gate array chip (Altera Flex 6016) is used to provide the connections between the Kfir, Bt878A GPIO pins, ADSP and clock chip.

The DATA, DLCK and nConfig pins are used to configure the altera. Once the altera is configured, the GPIO pins 0 to 15 are used as a 16 bit databus. The GPIO pins 16,17,18,19,21,22 are used as control pins. I'm still investigating the exact functions of the control pins.

Te comento:el modelo de Hauppage que soporta el programa que comentas, sólo es válida para la tarjeta HAUPPAUGE PVR-PCI (modelo 883)modelo algo antiguo ,que lleva el chip 878 y el chip de compresión mpeg Kfir.
Sin embargo,para desgracia nuestra,los modelos actuales HAUPPAUGE PVR-250 y PVR-350,no llevan el chip 878 y llevan el chip de compresión mpeg Icompression,el cual da algo más de calidad en las capturas que el Kfir.
De hecho,con el Moretv sería suficiente con la PVR-PCI(883).

Si estoy equivocada coméntamelo,pero creo que estoy en lo cierto...

Ánimo y a ver si sacamos algo entre todos...

Hola. el amigo sxm me comunica esto,en lo relativo a las Hauppauge PVR que no llevan los famosos chips 878... :
